First Responder's Day Honor Parade and Festivities

 Come join the American Legion Riders of Post #83 on the 10th Anniversary of the tragic event of September 11th, 2011, 10AM, for a day of remembrance and honor. This event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

9-11 Honor First Responders Events will include

• Opening Ceremonies Flag raising and lowered to half mast in honor of those who perished on September 11, 2001 at the American Legion
• Post 83, 939 West Main Street Merced, 95340 Car & Bike Show
• Live Patriotic Music Nashville Recording Artist, Rachel Rivero & Mercy City, from Merced, CA
• Parade of Honor
• Closing Ceremonies Post 83 will host a ceremony. Tentative guest include the Fire Department Honor Guard; Amazing Grace Bag Pipes; Taps; 9-11 poem by Kirk Layton; Benediction.

Please take time to reflect on the tradgedy of 9/11 and the sacrifice paid by so many. 9/11 Represents the best of America because ordinary people rose to meet the needs of an extraodinary situation. The people who died that day were not the only victims but also so many children & families.
